Don’t you see the problem in this statement? The floor I slept on when I stayed over. I don’t care who you are mated to, or whether they have blond hair or black hair, blue or green eyes, male or female parts-as long as you are happy, that’s all I worry about.

No misunderstandings resolved See the pattern? I love Quinn and Blay’s story.

It’s a big deal for me. The great iconoclast, Mr. And I am obviously not afraid to admit it: Layla I really, really loved her in this. But I’m leaning more towards Trez being next.

They would have this rip the clothes, raw, powerful sex then Blay would panic and run. I do not feel the need to rate the other stories scattered throughout the book.

Blay, after years of unrequited love, has moved on from his feelings for Qhuinn. I pre-ordered it when the pre-order button was available on Amazon. I was so sad for that because he’s done it in previous books but not when he actually has the guy to cover his scent with: They are already dwgger invested and curious enough. The entire plane scene.

She did a great job of making Layla a likable character. I actually had an easier time rewarding 4 stars to the previous books because my expectations weren’t that high to begin with, and I felt like I’d been given more than what I was expecting. They have this amazing connection and honestly that really tugged at my heart. He’s not a lesser or an asshole.

Lover at Last

I’ve noticed this trend for the last several books where the side stories do not generally relate to the main couple or blck Brotherhood. Although I have to wonder, and this is more of a technical observation, when Qhuinn and Blaylock have sex or made love, it was always through the backdoor.

Lessers They are still alive. This book’s about the two of you? I felt bad for them both, but it was the wake-up call he needed, and thankfully, it worked. Notify of new replies to this comment – on. This book was top quality for my reading taste. So there has to be more.

I only hope the celibate iAm doesn’t pull a Phury and goes off to replace and save his brother. Chasing this long sought relationship made us readers feel like we have been crawling over glass for YEARS how many times am I going to cap years, don’t know yet.

Maybe it was intentional, because we’ve got the romantic scenes in the previous books, the kisses and the glances and the heartbreak later on. Lists with This Book. But then something wonderful happened. His character got stronger and he made Qhuinn work for everything. The male took three strides forward, reached up…and kissed the ever-loving shit out of Blay. This is his mate; his entire being should be precious. For Qhuin and Blay’s story to be different from the little bits and pieces we saw of them in the previous books.

I love the set up Ward did for their book! Vampires are not self lubricating and Qhuinn and Blay never used lube!

Lover at Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward (3 star ratings)

I was really impressed by the way Ward was able to weave the individual storylines into one another. I’m not one for reading smut but damn I loved those boys together Some of it involved them and some of it was family issues they had to get past. I wish it hadn’t taken this long for me to man up.
